User Experience Architect - Researcher

 

Embedded in the heart of everything that we do is a strong but practical UCD approach. Real world, real use is our focus. We are looking for an experienced UX architect/UX researcher with strong insight delivery and presentation skills.

You will be involved with all aspects of the user experience lifecycle, from business discovery, user research and planning through development and initial usability testing of site architecture and wireframes. You will be work with both creative and interface teams to create stunning interaction design patterns and champion continuous improvement with user research and testing.

This role requires a practitioner with a solid portfolio of experience and theoretical background, who is passionate about researching and unearthing genuine robust user insight working in conjuncture with our behavioural data insights team to create industry leading digital experiences.

This role requires a keen thinker with at least 3 years of experience who can understand the balance between purist ideology and achieving real world business objectives.

A good understanding of usability and accessibility will be essential. Experience working in an agency environment across a wide range of projects is an advantage but not essential. Visual design skills are definitely a bonus, but are not the focus of this role, as you will be working with a team of visual designers.

 

Person Specification Requirements 

Degree is not necessary although it is beneficial to hold the following: Degree or relevant qualifications in HCI, experience design, service design, psychology, advertising, web development, communications, media studies or marketing. Minimum 3 years of experience in a user experience, information architecture, usability or user research role.

Research driven 
Usability testing and user research tools and methods is key, information architecture effectiveness and testing methods and experience with tools will definitely be advantageous.
