Campaign edit #18: Thanksgiving, office swearing, travel secrets and football pollution

Here’s a quick look at some recent campaigns that have stood out this week, from Megan Markle’s and Kate Middleton’s fashion influence, to Thanksgiving side dishes and house buyer’s search terms.
Office swear count
A recent study found that office workers swear at least 55 times a week while at work – not to mention all of those times outside of work. It turns out that supervisors and line managers were the most likely to swear in the office amounting for more than 28% of the total.
The Duchess effect
The London Institute of Photography analysed photos of Megan Markle and Kate Middleton for their influence on the fashion industry. They both increased sales by at least £1.8 million – Megan takes the top spot with £1.3 million, averaging out at £4,700 per photo.
House buyers’ search terms
The most common search terms by those hunting for new homes in the UK have been revealed. Houses with a garage, garden and parking were the most searched for in the UK. Regional searches include a cottage, houses with a sea view or even a pool.
Carbon footie print
Ballon D’or nominees are regarded as the best footballers in the world – they also have some of the biggest carbon footprints in the world too. The top 20 nominees were responsible for a combined total of 505 tonnes of CO2 emissions this year.
World’s 20 best-kept travel secrets
The world’s top 20 best-kept travel secrets have been discovered by luxury tour operator Hayes & Jarvis. Thon Tha Village in Vietnam takes the top spot - followed by Calanques de Piana in Corsica, and Amphitheater Lake in Wyoming. The list was created by analysing 100,000 attractions in the most popular destinations on TripAdvisor of those with few reviews but highest percentages of top ratings.
Thanksgiving side dishes
Google Trends has revealed the most common search terms for side dishes by US state for Thanksgiving 2019. Potatoes, stuffing and dressing are the most common. Fruit salad in Texas, and sweet potatoes with marshmallows are the most unique findings.
Deliveroo’s fast-food baubles
Fast food lover’s prayers have been answered with the miniature-sized Christmas decoration versions of their favourite takeaway foods. Get ordering quick to be in with the chance of winning one of these for your tree this Christmas.

Die-hard football fans can now order a boiler with their team’s kit on. The boilers are made to order and available for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and West Brom - who’s mascot Boiler Man is taking the Championship by storm.
